Trailhead Cabins is located outside of Sundridge, Ontario. We are located on one of the many trail arms of the Trans Canada Trail. This section of trail is open to all activites: hiking, snow shoeing, biking, horse riding, ATV'ing and snowmobiling.
Each of our off grid cabins have solar power to allow for lighting and the ability to charge your devices. You'll have a private BBQ and fire pit to enjoy meals and stay toasty while you stargaze.
Our cabins are all pet friendly and we have three dogs on site. Trailhead Cabins loves furry visitors. All cabins come with pet food bowls and waste bags to make sure that four legged guests are as cozy as two legged ones!!
We are just minutes from various beaches and boat launches.
Our property has two more cabins that will be completed in 2024. Stay tuned.
A quaint cabin with a large covered bench around the fire pit. Sleeps up to three.
A lovely cabin with a screened front porch, large cooking and fire pit area. Sleeps up to four.
A modern styled cabin with a screened back porch. Sleeps up to three.
The Bear Cabin will be done in 2024.
The Fox Cabin will be done in 2024.
Location is great. Tucked away from main populations, but is easy to go to places like North Bay, Huntsville, and Algonquin Park.
Lots of wildlife in the local area with a nice trail just a bit down the road. Great spot to sit outside the cabin and have a fire. The Wolf cabin is a great cabin to pick.
Jen did a great job setting up the cabin for a birthday get away with balloons, birthday banner, birthday note, and a banana bread with icing like cake.
If you are looking for a unique off the grid vacation, without roughing it then this is the spot for you. The first thing I thought when I saw the arch to the bunkie was perfection. I could feel the tension from my long drive just slip away. Everything here is designed for comfort and relaxation from the monogrammed mugs and wine glasses to the moose sheets in the loft. It is truly a piece of paradise.
The host even thought of extras like a first aid kit, a bug kit and a reading light in the loft.
My dog Tundra also recommends this unique experience.
My daughter and I had a lovely stay in the wolf cabin. The cabin is nestled in the pine trees on Jennifer and Dale's property. It is remote, private and quiet, at night it is very peaceful and feels safe. We heard the frogs singing at night as we relaxed by the fire.
The cabin is like camping, with the luxury of an adorable cabin to sleep in. The cabin has everything you need, and some extra things. We had the luxury of having an inside outhouse, which was wonderful in the rain.
Jennifer is really welcoming, she met us and helped us to our cabin upon arrival. She accommodated our late arrival and late leaving. We visited Mikisew Provincial park, hiked a trail, sat on the beach and went for a swim in the lake, it was a great day. Jennifer gave us a pass to use for the park. We also visited screaming heads, a local artist, sculpture garden, it was very cool.
I would love to visit again, a great spot for a night before heading on a portage trip of for a little escape from the city
The hosts Jennifer and her husband with their loving pets are very nice and we loved the stay in the woods and its worth staying there!! Its a clean and beautifull cabin place. I really loved the cabin surrounded with nature and all amenities also I encourage people to book this beauty ASAP and dont miss the show.
Jennifer was an amazing host. The property is beautiful. There are wildlife around so keep your eyes peeled for a deer or a moose. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful weekend getaway. We are definitely coming back when we get a chance.
The pictures can’t capture enough the quaintness the Deer Cabin brought for us and can’t highlight enough the tranquility of the surrounding forest. Our expectations of our lodgings went beyond our anticipated preconceived ideas of how things would unfold for us. It truly is a magical place being in the woods and having a campfire then having a comfortable place to getaway to. Thank you for the memories and experience.
We had a wonderful experience! It was easy to find the place, Jennifer and her husband gave us clear instructions and went out of their way to get the fire started for us. It was a very serene location and lovely to walk around. Super easy to cook our breakfast outside. Would definitely stay again, thanks for your hospitality.
Beautiful and surpassed our expectations. Glamping at its finest, had everything we needed and only needed to bring food and ourselves. Perfect family getaway!
Amazing experience. I would definitely go back again. Jennifer was super kind and helpful. She even helped us get the bonfire started!
I would highly recommend this setting to get away from the busy life of phones and traffic, put your feet up and go back in time to a simple life of fresh air friendly people and the great outdoors, weather relaxing , hiking riding this place will bring you back to centre! And the hosts make you so welcome and at home , we went as a large group and everyone raved about it and we have already decided to plan our next stay ! Don’t miss your chance to get back to the simple life , friends family and the great outdoors 😎👍😊
We had an amazing glamping experience at the Deer cabin. We felt right at home, while enjoying nature and the peaceful surroundings. Jennifer was very accommodating and did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were especially impressed by the level of attention to details put into the cabin and its surroundings, and were grateful for the netted patio during mosquito season. We'd have to come back and check the other cabins!
Amazing getaway in the cutest cabin. The loft was spacious and comfortable enough for the both of us. The fires at night were nice and relaxing. Truly this is paradise.
